The association "Knappschaft Jochberg" was found through 15 mines-oriented idealists. On 23th of July 1990 the raiser-meeting happend. Today the association is called "Knappschaft Jochberg" and has 130 members.

The association looks for tradition and ancient costums:

• regulary disengagements with traditional costume - like catolic festivals, jubilee celebrations, prosessions, Barbara-Festival (patron of the mine people)
